Betty J. Lohr, 66, of West Toledo, went home to be with the Lord September 22, 2000, after a lengthy illness. Betty was born in Green County, PA, to Leslie Joseph and Myrtle (Jones) Parker. Betty was more than a homemaker; she was a lover of her family and a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church for 27 years. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Peter Douglas and David Grant; her parents, and a sister, Isabelle Cox.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lloyd; sons, L. Joseph (Marianne) of North Carolina, and Tim (Lisa) of Toledo; 5 grandchildren, J. Scott (Katie), Kimberly, Ricky, Joshua, and Allyson; and 1 great-grandchild, Joseph Brant; sisters, Eva Jean (Robert) Wolfe of Newton Falls, OH, and Mary (Carl) Whipkey of West Virginia, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave., Sunday, September 24, from 2-9 p.m. Services will be Monday, September 25 at 11 a.m. with Pastor David James officiating. Interment Toledo Memorial Park. The family asks that any tributes be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
