Services for Mrs. Sarah Ann McWhorter were held in the Methodist Church. Having been born in Coleman County, at an early age she joined the Methodist Church. She was united in marriage to Calvin McWhorter who preceded her in death. To this union were born 10 children, six of whom survive. She came to Cottle County in 1895. Survived by six sons - Charley McWhorter, S.W. McWhorter, Tom McWhorter, R.W. McWhorter, Jasper McWhorter; one brother; one sister; 26 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
