Born here, he was the son of Henley and Jennie McClintock Hunter. He attended Cornell for two years. He had been superintendent of the Fuel City Box Co. in Clarksburg, many years.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Blanchard Hunter; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Bates of West Union, W. Va.; a son, Dr. Walter Hunter, of Hamden, Conn., and five grandchildren.
