News reached Neosho this morning of the death of one of Neosho's former longtime citizens who is widely known and remembered by most Neoshoans. Born September 26, 1866, Mrs.George H. Huddleston passed away at 5:00 a.m. today at the home of a daughters, Mrs. J. W. Rogers, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 79 years, seven months and 15 days. Widow of the late George H. Huddleston, who died June 22, 1933, after a long career here as Justice of the Peach, and other business activities. Mrs. Huddleston was active in church and social circles, and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.
Surviving relatives all have moved from Neosho but will be remembered by most people here. They are, one sister, Mrs. Irene Richards, of Denver, Colorado, five daughters, Mrs. Edna McCormick, Washington, D. C., Mrs. Maude Woodruff, Tulsa, Oklahoma,, Mrs. Hazel Adams, Coffeyville, Kansas, Mrs. Marie Rogers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Lenore Adkins, Wichita, Kansas, two sons, Edgar Huddleston of Joplin, and Fred Huddleston of Springfield, and one grandson, Charles Woodruff, who is in military service in Panama City.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but will be held in Neosho, probably nest Tuesday, further details to be announced Monday.
