Howard L. Beish, 82 of Clearfield died on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Clearfield Hospital.

He was born on September 7, 1922 in Mahaffey, a son of the late Earl and Lyda (Carr) Beish.

Mr. Beish owned and operated Howard Beish Construction for over 50 years. He served with the 94th Division Infantry during WW II having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Beish was a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785, Clearfield and the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540, Clearfield. In addition he was a member of the Third Ward Fire Company and attended St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield.

He is survived by his wife, Rose M. (Belford) Beish, three children, William Beish and wife Julie, Judy Troxell and husband Dick and Lynda Dufour all of Clearfield, five grandchildren, Annette Perkins, Corey Troxell, Laina Dufour, Cristy Troxell and Shannon Beish, a brother and two sisters, Robert Beish and wife Hannah of Medina, OH, Hallie Beauseigneur and husband Donald of Clearfield and Audrey Moore and husband James of Clearfield and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Nathan Beish and a brother Cecil D. Beish.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Matthew C. Holbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the Clearfield VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.
