Charlie died in Johnson County, Indiana at our home in Greenwood, Indiana. He was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Indiana where is was pronounced DOA.

Obit: March 9, 1981 Mr. Lowery, 65

Mr. Charles W Lowery, 65, of Auburn, died on Saturday, February 28, at the St. Francis Hospital of Indianapolis IN. He was a retired farmer and a World War II Veteran.

Mr. Lowery, son of Samuel and Linnie Hamilton Lowery, was born March 10, 1915, in Nebraska.

Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Lowery at Young Funeral Home on Wendesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Wilbur Powell. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Serving as pall-bearers were Ray Lee, Melvin Lee, Danny Lee, Buddy Nash, Morris Hines and Benny Nash.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Moseley Lowery; two sons, Charles Lowery of the United States Navy, and Eric Lowery of Indianapolis; one daughter Mrs. Patricia 'Patty' Nash of Olmstead; one brother, Earl Lowery of Indianapolis; five
sisters, Ruth Lowery,Thelma Johnson and Garneda Harshey all of Indianapolis, Marie Lowery an dAliceLee both of Bowling Green; and four grandchildren.
