GURDON F. BULLOCK

Gurdon F. Bullock, one of the aged citizens of this community, passed away in death Wednesday morning, December 20th, at his home in Kingman. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, at the Baptist church in this city, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Safford, and interment will be at Walnut Hill.

Deceased had been ill for about three weeks but did not take to his bed until last Friday, since which time he gradually sank until the end; and his sufferings were o'er.

Mr. Bullock came to Kingman some 26 years ago and has made this his home since that time. He was nearly 80 years of age, his birthday occurring on the 12th day of February, 1837, at Louisville, Kentucky.

He is survived by his aged wife and six children, four daughters and two sons; they being Mrs. Jennie Doll of Kingman, Mrs. G. H. Furry of Arkansas, Mrs. Earl Ketterman of Conway Springs, Walter Bullock of Arkansas, Joe Bullock of Dodge City, Kansas and Miss Consuelo Bullock of this city. To these and other sorrowing friends The Leader-Courier extends words of sympathy.

The stone was put on his grave years after his death with the dates coming from cemetery records. The records must have been transcribed incorrectly. The obituary was later found in a 1916 paper.
