Helen M. Perkins Forsyth, 67, of 48 Belmont St. died Thursday in Yale-New Haven Hospital after an apparent heart attack. She was the wife of Douglas J. Forsyth.
Mrs. Forsyth was born in New Haven April 19, 1920, daughter of the late Henry and Tillie King Perkins, and had lived in Hamden for 21 years. She was a secretary for the New Haven Board of Education for 38 years before retiring in 1981.

The funeral will leave J. Markiewicz & Sons Funeral Home, 14 Trumbull St., New Haven, Saturday at 8:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Rita's Church by her son. Entombment will be in the Garden Mausoleum, of St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
