AGED AND WELL KNOWN MAN DIES AT MARTIN

Mr. James Turberville, affectionately called "Uncle Jim" by his best admiring friends, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home in Martin. Uncle Jim ate a very hearty supper and was stricken soon after with indigestion to which he succumbed Sunday morning.

Mr. Turberville was in the 85th year of his age. He was born and reared in the vicinity of Pisgah church, six miles north of Dresden, removing to Martin some fifteen years ago. He was a loyal member of the Methodist church and a devout christian gentleman. He was exceedingly popular with those who knew him and his death will be sorely regretted by a legion of friends.

Surviving are the wife and the following named children: John, Wess, Sam and Roscoe, Mrs. Sue Doupontis, of Kansas City; Mrs. Emma Parish of Fulton, and Misses Emma and Laura, and one brother, Rev. Henry Turberville, living in Florida, and a sister, Mrs. Ed Campbell at St. Louis. The body was tenderly laid to rest Wednesday at Martin.
