Brandy Corrin Grenfell, 16, died at 2:49 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008, in Alton.

Born July 13, 1991, in Lake Forest, Ill., she was the daughter of Christina (Gallup) Grenfell and her fiance, Craig Austin, of Godfrey and Michael F. Grenfell and his wife, Wendy, of Port Trevorton, Pa.

She had just completed her junior year at Alton High School, where she was on the bowling team. She volunteered at the 5A's and was an avid animal lover. She loved to fish and camp with her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her grandmothers, Jeanette J. Gallup of Godfrey and Constance Shipe and her husband, Richard, of Sunbury, Pa.; two brothers, Ryan Ware and Christopher Austin, both of Godfrey; two half brothers, Michael F. Grenfell III of Port Trevorton and Jahrid M. Grenfell of New Jersey; two half sisters, Hailey J. Grenfell of Port Trevorton and Ashley Emerick of Riverside, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Donald J. Gallup Sr. and Michael F. Grenfell.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26.

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the 5A's.
