Rites Held for P. Ackenbach
Funeral services for Peter Paul Ackenbach, 77, formerly of this city, who died at Muncie, were held yesterday at Muncie. Burial was made in the Old Union cemetery northeast of the city.
Mr. Ackenbach was born Dec. 23, 1858, in Lancaster Pa., and came to Bartholomew county with his parents when a small boy. They lived in the St. Louis Crossing community for years and last fall Mr. Ackenbach went to Muncie to make his home.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Pogotis of Osceola, Mrs. Nellie Helm of Parker, and Mrs. Lovie Lain of this city; two sons, Charles of Muncie, and George of Alabama, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Among those from this county who attended the funeral were J.H. Andrews and George Andrews of St. Louis Crossing, Moses Lain and Charles Lain of this city.
