GRAMMAR F.P. KILLED
Pilot Officer Alastair Ian Taylor Moir, D.F.C., who has been killed on active service, received his early education at Aberdeen Grammar School and has several relatives in the city.
He was the only child of Dr and Mrs John Moir, Derby Road, Longeaton, Notts.
His mother is a native of Aberdeen, being a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Adam Ritchie, formerly of Anderson Drive, and his father belongs to Keith.
Pilot Officer Moir was born in England, but his parents sent him to Aberdeen Grammar School until he was fourteen. Afterwards he attended Badingham College, and he was studying medicine when was broke out. He relinquished his studies, however, to volunteer for the Air Force.

Educated at Aberdeen Grammar School and Studied Medicine at Badingham College, Woodbridge, England.
