She was born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 23, 1921 to Albert and Delilah Carre.
Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert, also her son-in-law Alex Powell, and brother Ellis Carre.
She is survived by her daughters Janice Powell of Canyon Lake, Shirlene Davis and partner Sam of Clearwater, Florida; her sons, Robert Cherry and wife Lynn of Beaumont, Carre Cherry and wife Donna of Nederland; sister, Edna Collins and Harold of Bridge City; brothers, Ray Carre and Glenda of Port Neches, Raymond Carre of Port Neches, and Cecil Carre and Bettye of Odessa; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am with burial following in Fischer Cemetary in Fischer, Tx. Funeral services will be provided through Crofts Funeral Home, 911 Mesquite, Blanco, Tx.
