W. H. Eikenberry, 91, Dies At Mexico Home; Final Rites Thursday
PERU--Final rites for William H. Eikenberry, 91, will be at the Church of the Brethren at two o'clock Thursday. The Reverend E. Paul Weaver will officiate and burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Mexico. The body will lie in state an hour before the services.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. this evening at the McCain funeral home, Denver.
His death occurred at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Brethren Home, Mexico, after a three week's illness.
Born in Miami county April 17, 1865, he was the son of John and Nancy Miller Eikenberry. His marriage in 1886 was to Elizabeth Fisher, who preceded him in death.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lois Wright, Hutchinson, Kansas; two half-brothers, A. R. Eikenberry, North Manchester, Oren Eikenberry, Flora; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A retired farmer he was a member of the Church of the Brethren and had lived at the church home the last six years.
