Obituary - Stanley F. Newins, 71, of Lincoln Road, West Yaphank, died Tuesday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Darrell T. Rathbun of 188 Edgewater Avenue, Bayport, after an illness. Born in Patchogue, he had lived in this vicinity all his life. He was a member of the Euclid Hose Company of the Patchogue Fire Department. Surviving besides his daughter, is another daughter, Mrs. Victor Valerio of Blue Point; three brothers, Robert S. Newins, of Patchogue; Harold Newins of Gainsville, Fla.; and J. Milton Newins, of Milton, Mass., and a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Hetzel of Sanford, Fla., and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held yesterday at the Pettit Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stuart S. Van Cott of the Patchogue Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery at 10 a.m. today.
