"CHARLES ALEXANDER DEAD

D. C. Alexander, brother of E. N. Alexander and Mrs. W. H. Leisenring, of this place, died in Ithaca, N.Y. on Sunday evening of heart failure. He was a former resident of this town, being a son of Silas Alexander, one of the early settlers of Nanticoke. He is survived by his wife and one son Durand C., Jr., who is now in Europe; four daughters, Virginia, of Washington, D. C., Mabel Needham, of Washington, Pa.; Katharine and Elizabth at home; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Leisenring, of this place; three brothers, E. W. and A. C., of Renton, and E. N. of Nanticoke. The funeral will be held from the home on Wednesday and the remains will be placed in a vault until the son returns from Europe. When they will be removed to La Porte, Ind., for interment."
