Joseph was born in Scranton, Pa. in 1903, the son of Rozalia Szlachcic From Dwory Oswiecim and Joseph Jamroz from Bobrek Osweicim. He was the brother to Marianna ,Karol ,Jozefa and Stephen. Like his father he became a coal miner in the Scranton area before he enlisted in the army 1942. He served overseas in England before taking part in the D.Day landings in France, serving part of his time in France and them moving onto Antwerp in Belgium. In 1945 he married Mary List nee Scales in Dover.New Jersey and was survived by his only natural son Edward who was born in 1944. Until he died in 1961 he worked locally in security with a large company. He is sadly missed by his only surviving son.
