Sarah Elizabeth Grove was born on April 4, 1856, to the proud parents John and Lydia Waltemyer Grove. Youngest of 8 children. She met and married John V. Cooper in 1875. They had 8 children together. Sadly John killed himself on June 21, 1902, by Hanging from a rafter at the hayloft in their barn. This is where my Great Grandmother Vergie found him at the age of 11. After almost 3 years Sarah met and married her second husband Michael Shoff. They married on March 30, 1905, in York PA. Sarah lost her second husband Michael on January 26, 1928. 10 years, 8 months, and 12 days later Sarah died. She died of Apoplexy on October 8. 1938, at her daughter and son-in-laws home. ( Beulah and Emory Olewiler ) Sarah is buried with her first husband John in Canadochly Church Cemetery. She was buried on October 11, 1938.
