Mr. Helm was born in Racine on September 25, 1927. In Crown Point, Indiana, on March 15, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Margaret Storbeck. Mr. Helm served with the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II. He was employed by A.M. Multigraphics in Wauwatosa for 20 years, working until October 4, 1988. He was a member of the Lord of the Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, a life member of the Racine Camera Club, member of the Upstart Camera Club and the 12 Foto Fellows.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret of Oconomowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, John III and Randi Helm of Palatine, Illinois; three daughters and one son-in-law, Dorothy and Fred Gibbs of Wadsworth, Illinois, Michelle Helm, living at home and Ginger Marino of Denver, Colorado; three grandsons, Brian Gibbs, Tony Neitzke and Jason Marino; two granddaughters, Sarah Gibbs and Gina Marino; one sister and brother-in-law, Luann and Don Kizer of Crivitz, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1139 Blaine Avenue, on Friday morning, October 7, 1988, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Dean Smith of the Lord of the Lutheran Church of Oconomowoc officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home this evening from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorials to the Lord of the Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc have been suggested. A memorial service will be held at Lord of the Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc on Monday evening, October 10, 1988 at 7:30 p.m.
