at the age of 79 years.
He attended school near Agenda.
During World War I, he served in
the U.S. and Europe with Company
I, 353rd Inf, 89th Division.
November, 8, 1921, he was united
in marriage with Anna Dvorak,
to this union three Children were
born, Mrs. Floyd (Beulah) Byrd,
Wesley John and Matthew F., Jr.
He was engaged in farming and
in 1941 the family moved to
Belleville.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, four brothers, and two
sisters.
Survivors include his wife Anna;
his three children; 10 grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; one broth-
er, Milek Baxa; three sisters, Emma
Hess, Laura Rott, Anna Malstead;
Interment was in the Belleville
Cemetery.
