Minnie Calora Thing was born April 3rd, 1861, at Beldenville, Wis., and died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1924 after a short illness at her home in Elmwood, Wisconsin.

On Dec. 31st, 1874, she was married to Hiram Brown of Diamond Bluff. They lived in Beldenville until 1877, when they moved to Diamond Bluff where they lived until 1884, when they moved back to Beldenville where they remained until they moved in 1907, to their present home in Elmwood.

To this union were born ten children, seven daughters and three sons. One daughter, Mrs. Irvin Daniels, died at her home in Hudson four years ago. The other nine children with their father are left to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother.

The children are: Mrs. George Richardson of Beldenville, Mrs. D.C. Judd of St. Paul, W. H. Brown of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. C. D. Snow of Beldenville, Mrs. W. R. Howard of Spring Valley, Mrs. E. P. Jones of El Paso, Herman Brown of Elmwood, Mrs. G. L. Thompson of St. Paul and Claude Brown, at home. There are also 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Brown has been a good neighbor and a good and faithful wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her loving family.

The funeral was held from the Elmwood Methodist church at 2 P.M.Tuesday, Rev. F. M. Blish officiating. Interment was made in the Spring Lake cemetery.
