Obituary:

Mattie Jo Stewart Williams was one of seven children born to the union of the late Albert and Maxey Stewart on February 3, 1913. She was married to Charley Williams who died on October 10, 1950. One child, Nellie Jo, was born to this union, but died in infancy.

Mattie began a serious study of the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 68, and unreservedly dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on December 12, 1981. Her dedicated life came to an end on Friday, May 24, 2002, at Marshall Manor Nursing Home, Guntersville, Alabama.

Two sisters preceding her in death were: Annie May and Ethel Belle. Four brother preceding her in death were: Thomas Stewart, Neal Stewart, Johnny Stewart, and Albert Stewart Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: The W.S. Adams Jr. Family - Guntersville, Alabama; Three nieces - Maxine Henry, Springfield, Ohio; Ethel Lee Walker, Warrensville Heights, Ohio; and Diane Baker, Gadsden, Alabama; Two nephews - Thomas Stewart Jr., Birmingham, Alabama, and Johnny Neal Stewart, Arizona. Also, numerous great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, great great great nieces, great great great newphes; Many other relatives, dear friends, and Christian brothers and sisters.
