Alex McGilvary
A lifetime Portland resident, Alex M. McGilvary, died Saturday in a Portland hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Skyline Memorial Funeral Home with interment in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McGilvary, 1503 N. Hayden Drive, was born April 3, 1913. He was foreman with American Sheet Metal Co. for 28 years before retiring in 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; son, Robert of Arizona; brother, John of Portland; sister, Janet Marino of Portland; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Cancer Society of another charity.
