Frank B. Butler
Tuesday, March 29th, just before 12
o'clock, occurred the death of Frank B.
Butler at his home, 36 Elm street, Cooperstown, after
an illness of four weeks,
of valvular heart trouble and attending
complications.
Mr. Butler was born in Niagara county
June 18, 1855, the son of Ephriam Butler and Rebecca Pierson Butler,
His residence in Cooperstown had extended
over a period of forty-five y e a r s. On
April 18, 1881 he was married to Mary
McChesney, who survives with four sons
and four daughters as follows: John L.,
Dorr, Samuel and Frank Butler, all residing in Cooperstown;
Mrs. Pearl Halstead, Mrs. Eva Webster and Miss Edith
Butler of Cooperstown and Mrs. Leona
Kaune of Ilion. There is also a brother,
Adelbert Butler, residing in Lockport.
For the past year Mr. Butler had acted as sexton of Christ Church.
The funeral was held from his late home on
Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev.
M. L. Yates of Christ church of which
he was a member, officiating, with interment in Lakewood cemetery.
