GREENSBORO- Mr. Otto Franklin Snipes, 90, of Taylor Street, went home to be with the Lord Saturday December 10, 2006, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
A 2 p.m. graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at Guilford Memorial Park with Dr. Jack Lemons officiating.
Mr. Snipes was born in Alamance County June 11, 1916. He was of the Baptist faith. Otto worked for 27 years at Patterson Street Gulf.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel Cameron Snipes, daughter Rita Southerland, infant son, his parents, and eight brothers.
Mr. Snipes is survive by two sons, Robert F. Snipes and wife Cindy, of Harrisburg, Va. and John Snipes of Greensboro; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the home of his son John Snipes, 1910 Taylor Street.
The family request that memorials be made to McLeansville Baptist Church, 5205 Freiden Church Road McLeansville, NC 27377.
The family is being served by Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel.
