Dale Frederick Hoffarth, 71, of Belleville, Illinois, born September 14, 1935, in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Monday, March 12, 2007, at Cedar Ridge Health Care Center, Lebanon, Illinois.

Mr.Hoffarth retired from Weyerhaeuser Paper Company, Belleville, Illinois, after 44 years of service. Mr. Hoffarth was a speaker for AA and sponsored many members over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Clara, nee Vogt, Hoffarth; and a brother, Fritz Hoffarth.

He is survived by two sons, Dale R. (Jill M. Weil) Hoffarth of Trenton, Illinois, and Robin J. (Catherine) Hoffarth of Parker, Colorado; five grandchildren, Aaron (Elizabeth) Hoffarth and daughters, Cassidy and Kristina, of Killeen, Texas; Christen (Robert Zirkelbach) Hoffarth of Belleville, Illinois, Colt (Marissa Feole) Hoffarth of Belleville, Illinois, Sean Hoffarth of San Diego, California, Travis Hoffarth of Parker, Colorado; a great-granddaughter, Madison Olivia Zirkelbach, who assisted Great PaPa Dale when he visited every weekend; and his brother, Robert (Annabelle) Hoffarth of Hecker, Illinois.

A graveside service for burial of Mr. Hoffarth's cremains will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois, with the Rev. Mike Garrison officiating.
