LEITA "MOLLY" WESTWONG,
beloved wife of the late Ralph
Westwong of Vauxhall, passed away
at the Taber Health Care Complex on
Monday, July 12,1993 at the age of 86
years.
She is survived by her children:
Dorothy (Ervin) Broderson of
Vauxhall, Leita (George) Broderson
of Vauxhall and Richard (Gertie)
Westwong of Vermilion, Alberta. She
is also survived by her sister, Clara
Stevenson of Medicine Hat; half
brothers: Wallace and Jim; and half
sisters: Shirley and Wilma; 14
grandchildren; and 16 great
grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her
husband, Ralph in 1954; grandson,
Richard Westwong in 1958; and
grandson, Harlan Broderson in 1974;
as well as her dear friend and
companion, Glen Nate of Magrath in
1992.
Molly came to Alberta from
Ontario in 1912. She was raised in
Lethbridge. Molly married Ralph in
1930 and they farmed in the Vauxhall
area. Shortly after Ralph's passing,
Molly moved to Magrath where she
lived through her later years. Molly
has spent the last three years in the
Taber Health Centre Complex. She
was the Past Worthy Matron of The
Order of the Eastern Star. Molly was
known around the Taber Extendicare
Complex for her cheerfulness,
warmth and friendly nature.
. Funeral Services will be held at the
PARKVIEW UNITED CHURCH, 712
Thursday, July 15,1993 with Reverend Brent Woodard
officiating. Interment will follow in
the Vauxhall Cemetery.
