Frances Eliza LOVING Married George Washington STRATTON on 23rd of NOVEMBER, 1831 in Nelson County, Virginia, US becoming Mrs. Frances Eliza Loving Stratton

Lived to the Age: 58 Yrs.

.................

I did my DAR )( Daughters of the American Revolution) papers using Captain John Loving and Captain William Loving two Revolutionary War Officers from what was then, Amherst County, Virginia, the grandparents of Frances Eliza Loving (1809-1867) the wife of George Washington Stratton, & dau. of James Loving, son of Captain William Loving and Elizabeth Hargrove who married his 1st cousin, Nancy Loving, dau. of John Loving and Neomy Seay.

Most of my Virginia ancestors came early to Virginia. In my direct line from my father, Thomas Bland Harvey, Senior, son of Alma Frances Hight Harvey, dau. of Mary Catherine Stratton Hight, dau. of G.W. Stratton and Frances Eliza Loving. George W. Stratton came as a young boy with his father, Asa, who had lost two wives in Vermont. I have the tombstone pictures and records from that area. My husband was from Lowell, Middlesex County,Massachusetts and the Stratton family has some interesting kin in New England but I am too old to brag about my kin. The last thing I said to my mother-in-law before she passed in 1962, " I might be kin to you, too.!"
