On May 31, 1952, both Mary Louise and her brother Fredric George were admitted to the hospital to have their tonsils removed. Mary Louise underwent the procedure first, and then Fredric. During the routine tonsillectomy, Fredric had a sudden seizure from anesthesia and died.
Maxine so upset with the loss, her family doctor found and arranged an adoption of newborn baby boy, Robert: b 28 Sept 1952.
