Doris Aitken of Saskatoon, formerly of Delisle, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2011 at the age of 87 at the Sunnyside Adventist Care Center.
Doris was born August 14th, 1923, in Keady, Ontario. She was the eldest daughter of Samuel and Beatrice Greenfield.
She moved to Donavon with her family in 1942 and there met and married Thomas Malcolm (Mac) Aitken. Doris was a dedicated wife and mother, active in her church and community, and loved and respected by those that knew her. She will be remembered fondly.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Mac, her sister Jean and her brother Elwood.
A memorial service will be held at Delisle United Church on Tuesday, February 15th at 3:30 PM. A luncheon will follow at Delisle Seniors Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Osteoporosis Canada, or the Sunnyside Adventist Care Center.
