Elvoy H. Dansie 94 graduated to join his family July 1, 2004. A kind and loving husband to Bertha Day Danise for 62 years, they married April 7, 1938 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Bertha preceded him in death Dec. 15, 2000. He was the youngest of eight children to George H. and Sarah Ann Elizabeth England Dansie. Each child was born and raised in the George Henry Dansie farmstead, The home is a landmark of Riverton and is on the Historical Register. He resided in the home throughout his lifetime. He and Bertha side by side maintained their surroundings and made their living on the estate. Elvoy honorably filled his two year LDS Mission from 1936-1938 in the California Mission. He loved the Salt Lake Valley and the community of Riverton and the people that lived there. He was utmost dedicated to preserving history for those who follow. He was active in civic and church organizations and fulfilled many official positions with total dedication. He was a brilliant man, was able to obtain ideas, complete the projects and the results were flawless. He was prideful in all that he would endeavor. Elvoy was a scholar of the LDS Gospel, studied daily, took the time and effort to always pray, and did so at his last moments, praying for his family and those left behind. His generosity, kindness, and loving ways will forever live on. He truly made a difference to all that knew him. He is survived by his children Loralee Johnston, Glenn E. Dansie (Robin), 10 grandchildren 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grand-children, numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Preceded in death by grandson Corey, son-in-law Ralph E. (Bud) Parry, daughter-in-law Joy W. Dansie; brothers and sisters, Rulon, Marvin, Lorin, Ivy D. Sorensen, Inez D. Neff, Rosena D. Enniss and Connie D. Newbold. At Elvoy's request in Lieu of flowers please contribute to the LDS Missionary Fund, or charity of your choice. Funeral Services held Tues. at the Meadows Ward 12459 So. 1855 W. Elvoy will be laid to his final earthy resting site in the Dansie Plot in the Riverton Cemetery. Funeral Directors Broomhead Funeral Home.
