Tommy Barksdale, 74, of Smithdale, died Feb. 16, 2008, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation is 5 to 9 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, and 1 p.m. Tuesday until services there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Wayne Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery in Franklin County.
Mr. Barksdale was born March 11, 1933, in the Auburn community in Franklin County to William Denver and Hattie Davis Barksdale.
He was employed as a county worker in Franklin County. He served in the U.S. Army, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Barksdale was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell and Calvin Barksdale; and two sisters, Ora Lee Kimball and Eula Whittington.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank Barksdale of Jasper, Ark., and Harold Barksdale of Alpena, Ark.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Barksdale, Stewart Duck, Vinnie Barksdale, Shane Duck, Chris Kyzar and Tab Watts. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Kyzar and Dorian Davis.
