Mr. Delious G. Beard, 69 years of age, departed this life Saturday, March 31, 1973, at the Taylor County Hospital. Mr. Beard was a native of Taylor County and resided at Route 5, Campbellsville, at the time of his death. Mr. Beard was the son of the late Joseph S. Beard and Lucy Bell Russell Beard. Mr. Beard is also preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Beard and Winfrey Beard. Mr. Beard was united in marriage to Margaret Beard. To this union were born two daughters and one son, Mrs. George (Carol) Gupton of Greensburg, Mrs. Rodger (Patricia) Benningfield of Campbellsville, and Joe Beard of Campbellsville, all of who survive. Mr. Beard is also survived by one brother, Johnnie Beard of Liberty, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. J. R. (Mary) Little of Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Willard Sapp, also of Louisville; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Ramsey was in charge of the services. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Wilson Smith, Leslie Turner, Holland Ford, Tony Stubbs, Gus Wheeler, and Nolan Gilpin.
