He was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Gaston County, son of the late Floyd C. and Lura Moore Plemmons.
A graveside and entombment service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum, Gastonia, officiated by Brother Ronnie Pressley.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Haney Plemmons of the home; two sons, both of Gastonia; five daughters; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughters, Pauline Bullock and Debbie Plemmons; brothers, Arvil and George Plemmons; sisters, Gleenie Rayfield, Myrtle Bonham, Viola Webb, Julie Cordell.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
