Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 12 at the Brenner Heights Baptist Church. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Park Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Montgomery was born in Wathena, KS, and had lived in Kansas City, KS, since 1957, moving from St. Joseph, MO. She was assistant director of Transportation for the Kansas City, KS, Public School System District 500, where she worked for 30 years. She later worked for the Mid-West Regional Credit Union for five years. She was a member of Brenner Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Montgomery in 1999.
She is survived by her sons Allen Montgomery, Aurora, CO, Bill Montgomery, Edgerton, KS, Don Montgomery and Rick Montgomery, both of Kansas City, KS, and Rodney Montgomery, Overland Park, KS; daughter Nita Clanton, Edwardsville, KS; brother Frank Baker, Dora, MO; 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
