MRS. IDA AMELIA BURKHOLDER
Wife of John H. Burkholder, died at the home on Plum Street, Williamsburg, Sunday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock, death being attributed to a complication of ailments.
She was a daughter of George and Elizabeth (Gunnett) Umbower and was born at Royer on Aug. 13, 1887. She was united in marriage with Mr. Burkholder on Jan. 28, 1909, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Walter G. Steel, then pastor of the Williamsburg Methodist Church.
Surviving are the husband and one daughter, Elizabeth Burkholder, at home, and these brothers and sisters: Calvin Umbower of Philadelphia, Mrs. Calvin Lower of Royer, Mrs. William Miller of Ganister, Benjamin of Royer, L. G. of Spruce Creek, Homer of Altoona, John of Williamsburg and George Umbower of Johnstown.
Mrs. Burkholder was a member of the Williamsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Friends are being received at the home after this evening.
BURKHOLDER – Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ida Amelia (Umbower) Burkholder of Williamsburg will be conducted by Rev. Carl Price of Mount Union. Services will be held at the Royer Methodist Church on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Interment following in Royer Cemetery. Friends are being received at the home.
