DEASON, ARIZONA LORENE WALDROP BOLTON, born August 24, 1919, passed away on June 16, 2006, at her home in Alabaster, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jason Edgar Waldrop and Roxie Lee Anna Taylor Waldrop, of Chilton County, AL (formerly of Randolph County), two brothers, two sisters, and her beloved husband William Roy Deason.

Mrs. Deason resided with her daughter, Paulette Walker, granddaughter, Veronica Walker, and great granddaughter, Savannah Walker, in Alabaster. Her previous homes were in Clanton and Calera. Mrs. Deason was born in Wedowee, Randolph County, AL, where she still has several relatives.

She is mourned by her children: Onirie ("Ree") Bolton, Birmingham; Paulette Walker, Alabaster, Floyd Bolton (Tinia), Wolcottville, Indiana; and Joe Bolton (Lisa), Center Point, AL; three grandchildren, Dennis Bolton (Lesleigh), Leeds, AL; Leigh Thomas (Michael), Alabaster, and Veronica Walker, Alabaster; three great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear friends.

Mrs. Deason is a 1965 graduate of Birmingham School of Nursing, and devoted her life to nursing. She was employed at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Birmingham, Briarcliff Nursing Home in Alabaster, and later worked for many years as a private duty nurse with terminally ill patients until her retirement.

Mrs. Deason was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Clanton before moving to Shelby County, where she became a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Alabaster.

Mrs. Deason's final and special request was: "My sincere prayer is that those left behind will strive to meet me in Heaven some day."

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL at 1:00 p.m. Martin Funeral Home directing.
