ENID — HENNESSEY — Funeral for Donald Wayne Lott, 56, will be 10 a.m. today, June 29, 2012, at First Baptist Church officiated by L.D. Choate. Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
Don was born Sept. 23, 1955, in Pawhuska to Velda and Maudie Patton Lott and died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Hennessey Care Center.
He graduated from Hennessey High School.
Don married Nancy Shaw in Hennessey.
He was a member of 132 Bible Church.
Don was a longtime employee of SJL Well Service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, racing and watching women's college softball and playing the slots.
He is survived by daughter, Julie Dawn Matthews and husband Kaden of Kingfisher; son, Kendon Lee Lott of Edmond; special companion, Gina Wanzer; granddaughter, Jancee Matthews; grandson, Tytace Prince; brothers, Roy Dale Lott and wife Barbara of Sterling, Eugene Lott and wife Pat of Kingfisher, and Jim Lott and wife Brenda of Hennessey; sisters, Helen Flud and husband Henry of Hennessey, Bonnie Golay and husband Buster of Ponca City, Paula Smith and husband Bill of Iowa, and Janelle Burnette and husband Jeff of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Patti Parrish and husband John of Oklahoma City, Joy Dimery of Oklahoma City, and Aimee Williams and husband Greg of Luther; brother-in-law, Mike Shaw and wife Dawn of Hennessey.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; daughter, April Lott; his parents; three brothers, Jackie Lott, Kenneth Lott and Charlie Lott; and two sisters, JoAnn Guffey and Maudie Golay.
Memorial donations may be made in his name through the funeral home to the April Lott Scholarship Fund.
