Winthrop- Mrs. Emma Wilkins has received word of th death of her son-in-law, Almon Lowell, who passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 8 at his home in Round Lake, Ill., from a heart attack.
Mr. Lowell was born in Brasher Falls, one of two sons of John and Augusta Eldridge Lowell. His early life wa spent here.
About 1909, he married Miss Bertha Steenberg of Winthrop and they have since resided in the West, returning frequently to visit her mother and other relatives. Their last visit here was in the summer of 1917.
Mr. Lowell was a brother of Calla Lowell of Webster City, Iowa, who died of a heart attack, Oct. 20, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Grace Hingst, and a son Ward of Round Lake, Ill.
Funeral services were held from the home, Wednesday, Jan. 11.
