Frederick W. McQuigg, a veteran Chicago newspaper man, died yesterday in his home at 2821 Pine Grove avenue. He was born in Chicago 65 years ago. Mr. McQuigg joined the Chicago American staff after serving as assistant city editor of the Chicago Daily News. He founded the amusement department of the American and for many years was drama editor.
Surviving are a son, Clancy, a member of the Herald-American staff, and a brother, Kenneth D. McQuigg.
