Sometime between 1902 and 1910, Elisha built a beautiful home in Webster, NC. Elisha was connected in various ways, to the lumber industry in the early 1900's. Apparently he and the craftsmen that he employed were determined to "show off" wood! The only other material used in constructing the home was the necessary masonry for the foundation and fireplaces. The house still stands as an example of the fine craftsmanship of that era. Except for the addition of central heat in 1968, this historic landmark has retained it's original beauty.
