Patricia Ann (Keena) Farrar, 51, of Wawecus Hill Road, Norwich, formerly of Westerly, died unexpectedly at the W.W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Dec. 31, 2004.

Ms. Farrar was born in Westerly, daughter of the late Andrew E. Keena Sr. and the late Ethel A. (Hindle) Keena. She had been employed as a satellite banker at Foxwoods Resort Casino. Patty had been a former CCD instructor and communicant of the Imm-aculate Conception Church in Westerly for many years, and she was a loving and devoted mother, sister and friend. She had an infectious smile and laugh that will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, John E. Farrar Jr., Jeffrey A. Farrar, and Jaclyn K. Farrar, all of Westerly; her former husband, John E. Farrar Sr., of Westerly; her companion, Ronald Smead of Norwich; two brothers and sister-in-law, Andrew E. Keena Jr. and Drena M. Keena and John E. Keena; a sister, Kathleen K. DeBartolo, all of Westerly; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; two nieces, Dea A. Vernott and Sarah J. Keena; and three nephews, Andrew E. Keena III, Philip A. DeBartolo and Michael P. DeBartolo.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Church Street, Bradford. There will be no cortege from the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made either to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in Patricia’s memory.
