Pearl Carlton, aged 91, of Parthenon, died January 18,1989 at North Arkansas Medical Center. She was born May 12,1897, a daughter of Alfred and Betty (Thomas) Carlton, She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Newton County.
Survivors include one daughter, Inez Cain of Parthenon; one sister, Minnie Proctor of Fayetteville; one half-sister, Georgie Garrison of
Parthenon; one grandson, Robert Cain. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral was Saturday, January 21, at Buffalo Church at Parthenon with Bobby Young officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper Pallbearers included Junior Proctor, Walter Cain, Ford Carlton, Ivery Taylor, Roy Clayborn and Wilburn Willis.
