Wife of Asahel.

This burial plot is owned by Asahel & Mary's son, Irvin Chase.

Irvin is Marietta's Chase Stoddard's brother. Marietta's husband & son are also buried on this plot.

Obit info from the Evart Review.
Born in Shawangunk, NY, Mary moved to East Saginaw 1868, with her husband. October 1875, they moved to Evart.

She was a faithful and loving wife, a fond and affectionate mother, a devoted and consistent christian woman, exemplyfing in all the walks of life those christian graces which so richly and beautifully adorn a life so meek and devoted as was the life she lived.
A great sufferer from bodily infirmities for years, she bore them all with patient and calm resignation, and met her death, peacefully, calmly, and triumphantly.
She was converted early in the life of and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, which relation she sustained up to the time of her death, being a period of 37 years.

A sorrowing husband and one daughter and two sons mourn her loss, as would a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
