Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Blair of 628 Dewey avenue will commemorate their golden wedding anniversary with a Solemn Mas of Thanksgiving at eight o'clock tomorrow morning in St. Agnes Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Blair are the parents of two priests of the Cleveland Diocese, the Rev. Fr. Theodore J. Blair, assisting pastor of the Annunciation church of Akron, and the Rev. Fr. Robert C. Blair, assistant pastor of the Sacred Heart Church in Oberlin.
The Rev. Fr. Theodore Blair will be celebrant of the Solemn Mass and the Rev. Fr, Robert Blair will serve as deacon. The Rev. Fr. Leo J. Brussel, pastor of St. Agnes Church will be the sub-deacon.
Mr. and Mrs. Blair were married September 19, 1899 at Holy Name church in Edensburg, Pa., by the Rev. Fr. James Deasy. They established their home in Elyria at that time, first attending St. Mary church and later becoming one of the pioneer families of St. Agnes parish.
Other children of the couple, besides the two priests, are Paul Blair of Amherst, Edwin Blair of Elyria, Mrs. William Scott of Elyria and Miss Genevieve Blair at home. There are 11 grandchildren. Mr. Blair, now retired, was employed as a timekeeper at the National Tube Company in Lorain for 41 years.
A reception for relatives and friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Blair Home.
