Cpl. James Harold Rhodes Killed in Action in France

Centerville, Tenn. Oct. 28

A telegram has been received from the war department by Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Rhodes of Mobley Ridge, stating that their son, Cpl. James Harold Rhodes, 22, of an infantry company was killed in action in France on July 25. He had been reported missing in action.


He was inducted into the military service October 5, 1942, recevied his basic traning at Camp Blanding, Fla., left for England in February, 1944, and went to France during the invasion last June.


Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alberta Beasley Rhodes, and one sister, Frankie Mai Rhodes, of the home.


He attended Hickman County Schools.
