GRAFTON, W. Va.-- Lloyd McClure Loraw, 66, of S. Walnut Street, Grafton, died Sunday morning at St. Mary's Hospital, Clarksburg, W. Va. He had been in ill health for two months.

Mr. Loraw was born at Crellin, Md., June 23, 1892, a son of the late David and Lulu (Stansbury) Loraw. He was a conductor for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, having worked for the B&O since January 1911.

For the past year he was a passenger conductor on the regular service from Baltimore through Grafton.

Mr. Loraw is survived by his widow, Mrs. Winona (Whorton) Loraw, formerly of Oakland, Md.; two brothers, Earnest Loraw, Cumberland, and Chester Loraw, Hopemont, W. Va.; Several nieces and nephews also survive, including A. W. Whorton, Baltomore, and J. W. Whorton of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Mr. Loraw was a member of the St. Matthias Episcopal Church, Grafton; Grafton Lodge 15, AF&AM; Copestone Chapter 12, RAM; DeMolay Commandery 11, Knights Templar; Osiris Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. of Wheeling, W. Va.; the Monongahela Valley Shrine Club at Fairmont, W. Va.; a veteran of World War I; a member of American Legion Taylor County Post No 12; Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial City Post 3081; B.P.O. Elks Lodge 308; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 638; the Order of Railway Conductores; B&O Veterans; and Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen of Grafton; and the Order of Purple Heart, Cumberland.

Mr. Loraw had resided in Grafton since 1911 and prior to that was a resident of Parkersburg W. Va., and Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Bartlett Funeral Home in Grafton at 1:30 p.m. (EST). Rev. Thomas Park, pastor of St, Matthias Episcopal Church, will officiate and interment will be in the Grafton National Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the residence until 11:00 a.m. today and at the funeral home from noon today until funeral services.

B.P.O Elks Lodge 308 will hold services today at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services under the direction of Grafton Lodge 15, AF&AM with DeMolay Commandery 11, Knights Templar, as escort, are scheduled at the graveside. Military honor by the American Legion and VFW post will be held at graveside also. (Transcribed by Ronn E. Friend)
