Amos T. Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Chapman, born May 22 1871 at Johnston City, died December 16, 1927. He married on August 16, 1894 to Matilda Smith. They had seven children. Ralph, Mrs. Herschel Isaacs of West Frankfort, Charlie Chapman of Johnston City, Maud, Smith, Milford and Arthur who live at home. Besides his wife and children, other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. E. S. Pike of Johnston City, and Mrs. T. J. Pike of Parrish and one brother Ras Chapman of Johnston City. Burial was in masonic Cemetery in Johnston City.
