WELL KNOWN MEN EXPIRED

D. F. T. BLOOD DIED SUDDENLY SUNDAY EVENING.

Dr. Felix T. Blood who was for may years one of the well known professional men of Le Roy, died quite suddenly, about 10 o'clock on Sunday night at the Wiss House, where he had been boarding for the past seven months. The announcement of his death came as a surprise to his acquaintances in Le Roy and elsewhere.

Last winter Dr. Blood had a severe attack of grippe followed by pneumonia and while he partially recovered from this it left him is a weakened condition and he never regained fully his strength. He was about as usual on Saturday, and Sunday morning he suffered an attack of asthma and went to the office of Dr. Witmer and took a treatment, he was about the hotel during the day and on the street. He retired rather early Sunday evening and about 8 o'clock he suffered another attack. Dr. Witmer and Dr. Westlake were called and about one hour later he expired.

Dr. Blood was well liked by those with whom be came in contact. He was sympathetic in his manner and thought more of the welfare of others than of his own interests. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 39 F. & A. M. and also of the Le Roy Chapter 183 R. A. M. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from St. Mark's church. Rev. Pierre Cashing officiating and the interment was made in Machpelah cemetery, the services at the grave being conducted under Masonic orders. Some of the members of the Batavia Commandery attended the funeral.

Born in the town of York on March 22, 1844, Dr. Blood spent the early years of his life there removing with his parents Lather P. and Eliza Blood, to Le Roy in 1865. He studied dentistry in Rochester and upon completing his course he opened an office in Le Roy which he conducted for nearly 40 years. More recently he traveled about considerably, practicing at the homes of his customers. He was passionately fond of cattle and most always was the owner of a herd. At the time of his death be owned a very fine herd of Jerseys which he kept in the town of Pavilion.

The deceased is survived by one son Robert Blood, he also leaves a twin brother, Ferdinand S. Blood, of York. He was also a brother-in-law of the late Judge Bangs.
