Carl E. Barker Sr., 67, of Cunningham Run, Shinnston, and formerly of Fairmont, passed away Monday (May 31, 2010).
He was born Sept. 14, 1942, a son of the late Warder and Georgia White Barker.
Carl was employed at ACE Welding at Enterprise, and was previously a self-employed carpenter who installed roofing and siding. He also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include three children, Carl E. and Kathy Barker Jr., with whom he made his home, William L. and April Barker of South Carolina, and Kimberly Domico of Pensacola, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Warder Delford Barker Jr. of Florida, and Holten Ball of Elkview; four brothers, Herbert Barker of Ohio, William "Bill" Barker of Mannington, Jerry Barker of Michigan, and Danny Barker of Mount Nebo; seven grandchildren, Tina Anderson, Carl Barker III, Jennifer Lynch, Samuel and Johny Barker, Brittany Domico and Yla Barker; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Hutson Funeral Home, 500 East Main St., Mannington, from 2 to 9 p.m. today, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating. Interment will be in Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
